I’m 12.694 i new cases of coronavirus in Italy (yesterday they were +15,370, here the bulletin). It goes up like this at least 3.870.131 the number of people who have contracted the SARS-CoV-2 virus (including recovered and died) since the outbreak began. THE deaths today there are 251 (yesterday they were +310), for a total of 116,927 victims from February 2020. People recovered or discharged they are altogether 3.248.593 and 13,134 those who came out of the Covid nightmare today (+16,484 yesterday). The positive current – the subjects who have the virus – turn out to be in all 504,611, equal to -697 compared to yesterday (-1,430 the day before), down from 6 April. There decline in current positives today – with the minus sign in front – depends on the fact that the healed, added to the deaths, are in greater number than in the new cases. The positives in home isolation are a total of 477,652.
The swabs and the scenario
Total swabs (molecular and antigenic) were 230,116 while yesterday they were 331,734

Based on the slow but progressive decline in daily infections and the stabilization of the Rt contagion index below 1, the government deemed it appropriate to proceed with a program of progressive reopening: Prime Minister Draghi spoke of reasoned risk on the basis of encouraging data and the progress of the vaccination campaign (in-depth here).

The victims
The victims are 251 against 310 yesterday. The region with the highest number of deaths is still Lombardy with 64 victims. While no deaths were recorded in Basilicata and Valle d’Aosta.
The pressure on the health system
The pressure is released, albeit slowly in the Covid, ordinary and intensive departments. The beds occupied in the ordinary Covid wards are -452, for a total of 23,648 hospitalized. The beds occupied in therapy intensive (TI) I’m -29 (yesterday -26), bringing the total of patients hospitalized in these wards to 3,311. With 163 daily admissions (the change in the number of beds occupied indicates the balance between patients who left and those who entered in the last 24 hours).
