17 major investors in tourism wrote an open letter to the leader of GERB Boyko Borisov, Deputy Prime Minister Maria Gabriel and the head of the parliamentary committee on tourism Erten Anisova, insisting that the Minister of Tourism Zaritsa Dinkova keep her post during the rotation.

“Her contribution to the realization of the first program of its kind to finance the marketing activities of tourist services in the Black Sea municipalities was highly appreciated by our foreign partners and accepted as a message for a new proactive policy, which was completely absent until now. We draw attention to the fact that among those seeking the replacement of Minister Dinkova there are those interested in the advertising budget continuing to be spent in a non-transparent and ineffective manner in the interest of companies close to them only,” the letter reads.

“Retaining the position of Minister Dinkova will be proof of a consistent policy in the tourism sector with a preponderance of the public interest,” the letter also reads.

Among the signatories of the letter are the names of representatives of leading foreign tour operators in our country, such as Kalin Sutev, Ventsislav Tanchev, some large tour operators and owners of large hotel chains.
