170 skydivers, the crazy world record attempt

by time news

On Sunday, 170 skydivers will attempt to break the record for skydivers flying head-down together in the skies of Illinois.

On Sunday, 170 fallers, including the reigning French world champions Greg Crozier and Karine Joly, will try to erase from the shelves the world record dating from 2015 for the number of fallers (164) moving upside down together in a given time. The participants in this challenge organized in Ottawa, Illinois, aged 19 to 58, will have 60 seconds to regroup, grab each other’s arms and perform the giant reference figure, a star, before separating and fill the sky 200 parachutes.
