Crime comedy film ‘1744 White Alto’ is gearing up for its international premiere. The film will be screened at the International Film Festival Rotterdam in January. 1744 White Alto is directed by Senna Hegde and stars Sharafuddin, Vinci, Rajesh Madhavan and Anand Manmathan.

The film has been selected for its international premiere as part of the prestigious ‘Harbour’ programme. The film is produced by Kabini Films, a new production house from Bengaluru. Rotterdam is comparable to other major European festivals such as Cannes, Venice, Berlin and Locarno. It is a film festival that promotes innovative and diverse films.

1744 White Alto was released in theaters in Kerala on November 18 last. This was a film that was very different due to the excellence of its making. The film won a lot of critical acclaim and audience appreciation. Some considered the film to be an intellectual dark comedy and indicated that it was a new benchmark for Malayalam. The story progresses through the hilarious and horrifying events that take place among the petty crooks. As the title suggests, the main character is a Suzuki Alto car. The film is set in a fictional location somewhere in Kerala.

The film’s director Senna Hegde had this to say about the film. ”The film is not for everyone; Each person may come out with a different attitude. It’s not cerebral, but rather entertaining and providing a glimpse into human paradox. All characters can be good and bad at the same time, and morality is often a sliding scale, especially in modern times. I tried to present it in my own way.” Senna Hegde said.
