The State Fund “Agriculture” (DFZ) transferred over BGN 2 million (BGN 2,020,608) to 1,836 applicants under The scheme for small farmers (DZS) for Campaign 2022. Beneficiaries who have submitted applications under the Single Area Payment Scheme (SEPP) are entitled to support. The arithmetic mean payment is in the amount of BGN 1,101.
Applicants should meet the minimum requirements for receiving subsidies under the Direct Payments schemes. In order to benefit from the financial assistance, they must maintain in each year of their application at least as much eligible area as they declared in their application for Campaign 2015. Applying for participation under the scheme was possible only in the reference year 2015 according to Art. 16 of Ordinance 3 of 17.02.2015 on the terms and conditions for applying the Direct Payment schemes.
Support for small farmers replaces all payments under Direct Payment schemes. Financial support is formed annually and individually for each individual beneficiary. The amount of aid depends on the size of the eligible areas, the number of eligible animals and the schemes applied for, and cannot exceed the BGN equivalent of EUR 1,250, and payments of up to EUR 500 are rounded up to EUR 500.
