Within the framework of the UEFA “Doves of Peace” program, on August 9, with the support of the Football Federation of Armenia, 19 children from Gyumri’s Fritjof Nansen and Gavar orphanages went to Tbilisi to attend the UEFA Super Cup match “Barcelona” – “Seville” to be held on August 11. :
From the FFA technical center, the football academy, where the children had previously arrived, they went to Tbilisi with the Football Federation of Armenia and accompanying representatives, on a bus specially allocated for that purpose, after taking pictures and getting to know each other and their companions.
Children aged 9 to 12 from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Moldova from disadvantaged families and orphanages were also invited to Tbilisi to participate in the meeting.
The children will be placed with local children in one of the sectors of the Tbilisi “Dinamo Arena” stadium. Children will also be given T-shirts with the inscription “Soccer Beyond Politics”.
It is also planned that the children will participate in a small tournament.
