The Frenchman finished at the foot of the podium in Oslo at the end of the biathlon season.
The Norwegian Johannes Boe obtained his 19th victory of the winter at the end of the last race of the season, the mass start in Oslo on Sunday, in which Quentin Fillon Maillet ranked fourth.
In detail, Boe, victorious for the fourth time in his career in the Biathlon World Cup, won sixteen times in the World Cup and three times at the Worlds-2023 in February.
In the fog on Sunday, he missed two targets on the shooting range, one lying down and one standing (18/20), but that did not prevent him from beating two competitors who signed a 20 out of 20, the Swiss Niklas Hartweg, 26 sec 2/10ths, and another Norwegian, Vetle Christiansen, 35 sec 2/10ths.
With a 19 out of 20 behind the rifle, Fillon Maillet narrowly finished at the foot of the podium, 36 sec 8/10ths.
The French men’s team thus ended the winter without the slightest individual victory, which had not happened for more than a quarter of a century.
