DSE Brokers Association of Bangladesh (DBA) has awarded the best 20 brokerage houses in trading in Dhaka Stock Exchange. The award is based on the performance of the year 2023.
Last year, 50 percent of the total transactions in DSE took place through these 20 brokerage houses. DBA has launched this award for the first time.
On Tuesday (February 13) the DBA Stockbrokers Performance Award-2023 organized at DSE was awarded to these institutions.
State Minister for Commerce Ahsanul Islam Titu was present as the chief guest in the event. Besides, Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) Commissioner Mizanur Rahman, Dr. was present as a special guest. Sheikh Shamsuddin Ahmed and Abdul Halim and DSE Chairman Hafiz Mohammad Hasan Babu.
Managing Director of DSE Dr. ATM Tarikuzzaman, DBA President Sauful Islam, Past President Richard De Rosario also spoke.
Among the brokers, UCB Stock Brokerage Limited was the first in trading. Second is Lankabangla Securities Limited. And third is BRAC EPL Stock Brokerage Limited. Besides, EBL Securities Limited is in the fourth place. And Shelltech Brokerage Ltd got the fifth place award.
Other firms on the list of 20 brokerage houses include- IDLC Securities Ltd., Citi Brokerage Ltd., Shanta Securities Ltd., Bank Asia Securities Ltd., ICB Securities Trading Company Ltd., NRBC Bank Securities Ltd., MTB Securities Ltd., United Financial Trading Company Ltd., BD Sunlife. Securities Limited, Royal Capital Limited, Prime Bank Securities Limited, AIBL Capital Market Services Limited, United Securities Limited, IIDFC Securities Limited and BD Finance Securities Limited.
