Washington: The United States has reported that 2 lakh soldiers have died so far in the Russia-Ukraine war.
According to Jen Mark, a senior American military officer, “So far, 40,000 civilians have been killed in the Russia-Ukraine war. 2 lakh soldiers have lost their lives on both sides,” he said.
In recent days, Ukraine has shown interest in negotiating with Russia over the war. In addition, Ukrainian President Zelensky also insisted on reducing the number of Russian military forces in Ukraine. It is in this context that Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu has ordered the withdrawal of Russian forces from the Kerzan region of Ukraine.
Speaking about the talks between the two countries, Jen Mark said, “Mutual peace cannot be achieved through military operations alone. You have to get back to it in other ways,” he said.
Cause of War: At the end of February, Russia launched a war against Ukraine, which decided to join the European Union. Many parts of Ukraine are currently under Russian military control. The United States and European countries have provided a large number of modern weapons in support of Ukraine.
