Vivo has unveiled its latest flagship smartphones, the X300 and X300 Pro, to a global audience, marking the company’s 30th anniversary with a notable push in mobile photography and software innovation. The new devices boast cutting-edge ZEISS-branded camera hardware and the global debut of OriginOS 6, signaling a commitment to long-term performance and user experience.

A Focus on Photography and Performance

According to a company release, the X300 series isn’t about radical reinvention, but rather a “confident year-over-year step” focused on delivering a refined experience in photography, performance, and software support. Both the X300 and X300 Pro heavily leverage ZEISS optics and image tuning, though they cater to slightly different user preferences.

The X300 features a versatile camera system comprised of a 200MP Ultra-Sensing HPB main camera,a 50MP ZEISS APO telephoto lens (LYT-602),and a 50MP ultrawide lens (JN1). In contrast, the X300 Pro prioritizes telephoto capabilities with a 200MP ZEISS APO telephoto as its primary camera, complemented by a 50MP “gimbal-grade” main camera (vivo × Sony LYT-828, 1/1.28-inch) and a 50MP ultrawide lens. Both models also include a 50MP ZEISS wide-angle front camera with autofocus for enhanced selfie quality.

Software and Hardware Highlights

ivo has prioritized usability in the design of both devices. The X300 weighs 190g and measures 7.95mm thick, while the X300 Pro is slightly thicker at 7.99mm and heavier at 226g, reflecting its more advanced hardware. Both phones offer IP68 and IP69 protection against dust and water, dual stereo speakers, and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor.

The X300 is available in Phantom Black, Mist blue, Iris Purple, Halo Pink, and Summit Red, while the X300 Pro comes in Black, Blue, Dune Brown, and Cloud White. Powering both devices is the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor, with the Pro model benefiting from vivo’s Pro Imaging Chip VS1 for improved image processing speed, clarity, and noise reduction. Both phones feature 120Hz 8T LTPO displays, with the X300 sporting a 6.31-inch screen (1216×2640) and the Pro offering a larger 6.78-inch display (1260×2800). Eye-comfort features like SGS Low Blue Light and TÜV Flicker-Free, alongside HDR10+ and Netflix HDR support (with dolby Vision on the Pro), further enhance the viewing experience.

Battery Life and OriginOS 6

Battery capacity differs between the models, with the X300 offering 6,040mAh and the X300 Pro boasting a larger 6,510mAh battery. Both support 90W FlashCharge and 40W wireless charging, utilizing vivo’s BlueVolt technology with 4th-gen silicon negative electrode materials for improved thermal performance and longevity. Vivo claims that even at 1% charge, the phones can provide approximately four minutes of voice calling. Interestingly, some European markets will receive an X300 Pro with a slightly smaller 5,440mAh cell.

A key highlight of the X300 series is the debut of OriginOS 6, built on Android 16. The new operating system introduces smarter UI elements like Origin Island and Flip Cards, alongside productivity enhancements through vivo Office Kit. AI features are integrated through Google Gemini integration, and privacy tools are unified under a new vivo security umbrella.
