A consultation was held today in the Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. on the draft state budget.
Minister of Finance Atom Janjughazyan referred to the 2021 to the budgetary process, presented the macroeconomic and fiscal framework. He noted that the budget draft is being developed taking into account the economic developments and forecasts of Armenia and the world.
The discussion revolved around forecasted macroeconomic indicators, directions of fiscal policy, capital spending programs, Government priorities, goals and anti-crisis measures. A number of proposals have been submitted.
The Prime Minister emphasized the targeting of sectorial benchmarks with the logic of program budgeting and the active use of this component in the process of drafting the budget.
Nikol Pashinyan instructed to continue the discussions and ensure the interoperability of the state budget project with other strategic documents.
