According to the National Statistical Committee, Armenia’s foreign trade in 2023 increased by 45.8% in January-September, making 13 billion 608 million dollars.
Exports increased by 44.8%, reaching 5 billion 120 million dollars, imports by 46.5%, making 8 billion 488 million AMD.
The Russian Federation continues to be the main trade and economic partner of Armenia. In the past 9 months, Russia accounted for 35.1% of Armenia’s foreign trade turnover, which in monetary terms is 4.7 billion dollars.
The next trading partner of RA is the European Union, with which the foreign trade turnover in January-September of this year was 15%. Trade with the EU increased by 16%, making 2 billion dollars.
If the export from Armenia to Russia increased by 85% in the past nine months and reached 2.6 billion dollars, which is 51% of the entire export volume, the export to the European Union decreased by 5.1%, making 575 million dollars.
Imports from Armenia to the EU increased by 53%, reaching 1.5 billion dollars. Imports from RA to Russia also increased by 18.2%, reaching 2 billion 135 million dollars.
