2023 LAFCA Awards: Winners, Runners-Up, and Honorees

by time news

The Los Angeles Film Critics Association has announced its annual award winners for 2023, with Sandra Hüller and Emma Stone taking top honors for their lead performances in “Anatomy of a Fall” and “The Zone of Interest” and “Poor Things” respectively. Rachel McAdams and Da’Vine Joy Randolph also received awards for best supporting performances. The organization, which was founded in 1975, will honor Agnieszka Holland with the Career Achievement Award at its annual banquet on January 13, 2024. The LAFCA Awards will feature gender-neutral acting categories for the second year in a row. Many of the organization’s choices for best picture often go on to garner Oscar nominations. The New York Film Critics Circle and the National Board of Review have already awarded Martin Scorsese’s “Killers of the Flower Moon” with the best film award, and the LAFCA winners will be added to the list as they are announced.
