It’s officially 2026, and a wave of exciting new games is on the horizon. I’m even hoping to upgrade my phone in August for my birthday, but that doesn’t diminish my excitement for the upcoming gaming releases. Here’s my rundown of the 10 titles I’m most looking forward to, the ones that have truly captured my attention.
I’m deliberately leaving out sports games, battle royale titles, racing games, and live service games – they just aren’t my cup of tea.So, without further ado, here’s the list.
- Resident Evil Requiem
Capcom’s first major release of 2026 is heavily dependent on reviews and whether the studio leans into the horror elements. I’m frankly tired of action-heavy sequences and worried it will follow the path of Village in its second half.Capcom needs to get this one right. if the reviews are positive,I’m buying.
- Pragmata
This is a very intriguing new IP from Capcom. I’ll be waiting for reviews before committing, as it’s a risky pre-order given its unproven nature.The game looks promising, and the demo has received positive feedback, so I’m cautiously optimistic.
- Saros
Returnal was severely underrated,and my enjoyment of Saros will largely depend on its difficulty. I don’t necessarily want an easier experience, but I’m hoping Housemarque will be a bit more forgiving this time around.If it receives good reviews and is more accessible, I’ll gladly add it to my collection.
