22 deputy secretaries of administration cadre have been promoted as joint secretaries. After being deprived for a long time, the government promoted them.
On Tuesday (August 20), the Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification in this regard.
According to the notification, the officers promoted to the post of Joint-Secretary may apply directly to the Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration or by e-mailing their joining letter ([email protected]) can send.
It says that if any officer’s office/workplace has already changed from the workplace mentioned in the promotion order, he should submit the joining letter mentioning the name and address of the working office.
Officers promoted to the post of Joint Secretary will be promoted and will receive arrears from the date on which they are superseded by junior officers.
In case any adverse/contrary information is received against any officer at a later date, the authority reserves the right to revise/rescind this order as necessary, the notification said.
The promoted officers have been made Officers on Special Duty (OSD) in the Ministry of Public Administration. New Joint Secretaries have not been appointed.
Before this last Sunday (August 18) 201 officers were promoted to the post of joint secretary. Many of the promoted officers were deprived during the last Awami League government.
