Wizards of the Coast has priced its MagicCon Atlanta 2026 Festival in a Box at $249.99, marking a $50 increase over previous releases. Launching October 19 via the Secret Lair webstore, the package pairs an exclusive Atlanta-themed drop and four promotional cards with the worldwide public debut of the Mystery Booster Commander Edition.

MagicCon Atlanta Festival in a Box Release Details and Price Increase

The final convention celebration of the year for Magic: The Gathering closes out a busy convention schedule ahead of a 2027 calendar that introduces events in Detroit and Tokyo. For collectors unable to attend in person or hoping to secure merchandise early, the Festival in a Box product launches on October 19 on the Secret Lair website.

The package carries a retail price of $249.99, representing a $50 jump compared to the Amsterdam convention offering.

Mystery Booster Commander Edition Makes Its Worldwide Public Debut

The price adjustment largely reflects the inclusion of the brand-new Mystery Booster: Commander Edition box. Following preview appearances in Indianapolis and a debut draft at GenCon, the set makes its worldwide public debut in Atlanta, with the Festival in a Box serving as the first opportunity for everyday players to purchase a full display box.

Each display contains 24 booster packs, with each individual pack holding 20 cards designed to deliver an unpredictable draft experience tailored for the Commander format.

  • Three white, three blue, three black, three red, and three green common or uncommon cards
  • One reprint wildcard of any rarity
  • One rare or mythic rare reprinted commander
  • One new-to-Magic commander in non-foil (95.25%) or traditional foil (4.75%)
  • One Future Sight frame common or uncommon card
  • One Future Sight frame rare or mythic rare card
  • One traditional foil acorn-stamp card (less than 1%)

Secret Gallery Atlanta Foil Edition and Exclusive Promo Cards

Beyond the booster display, the box includes the Secret Gallery: Atlanta Foil Edition drop, featuring four alternate-art reprints illustrated by local artists from Atlanta. The curation features Parallax Tide alongside Regrowth, Viridian Revel, and Assassin’s Trophy. Parallax Tide commands the highest individual financial value in the drop due to historical card scarcity, though the overall collection focuses more on event commemoration than high-value secondary market pulls.

Four promotional cards complete the package. Three are full-art, textless foil editions of established cards: Dance of the Dead, Tana, the Bloodsower, and Tymna the Weaver. The fourth item is a playtest card titled Auspicious Aquarium, designed by Magic Head Designer Mark Rosewater.

Available through Secret Lair, the MagicCon Atlanta Festival in a Box goes on sale starting Monday, October 19, 2026, at 9 am PT, operating just like typical Secret Lair drops.
