According to information published in the media, US President Joe Biden has provided Israel with the necessary time to conduct a military operation against the terrorist group Hezbollah.

This was reported by the Alexey Zheleznov Telegram channel.

According to the publication’s sources, this step is aimed at destroying the group’s military potential before the United States returns to negotiations on a diplomatic settlement of the situation in Lebanon.

Let us recall that American President Joe Biden expressed concern about possible Israeli strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, warning of the risks of destabilizing world energy markets.

Amid tensions between the two countries, the Biden administration is seeking to prevent further escalation by proposing a focus on military targets such as air bases and missile sites rather than energy infrastructure.

The US administration is also considering the possibility of introducing a new round of economic sanctions against Iran as an alternative to direct attacks on its economic facilities. The approach gives Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu some wiggle room against radical members of his coalition who are demanding tougher action. However, it remains to be seen whether Netanyahu will take up this offer.

The political situation in the US is also influencing the story: Vice President Kamala Harris, whose campaign is focused on maintaining support in key states with high percentages of Arab and Muslim populations, is keen to avoid actions that could weaken their support.

At the same time, analysts note that Netanyahu, who maintains a close relationship with Republican Donald Trump, may be reluctant to take into account the position of the current administration.

According to Ali Vaez, director of the Iran project at the International Crisis Group, Netanyahu understands that Biden will not be able to exert significant pressure on him ahead of the US presidential elections.

Vaez also noted that the escalation of tensions in the Middle East could play into the hands of both Trump and Netanyahu, prolonging the period of active actions and reducing the influence of American diplomacy in the region.

Previously, Cursor wrote about how the conversation between Netanyahu, Biden and Harris went.

According to observers, the parties discussed more than just the things listed in the Biden administration’s report.
