Three special forces have been set up to arrest former AIADMK minister Rajendra Balaji on charges of embezzling up to Rs 30 lakh from a job at Avin.

Virudhunagar district has demanded Rs. District Crime Branch police on Wednesday registered a case against three persons, including former minister KD Rajendra Balaji, for defrauding Rs 30 lakh.

The case is being investigated by the District Criminal Police. Former minister Rajendra Balaji had filed a petition in the Chennai High Court seeking pre-bail in the case.

The High Court judges who heard the petition on Friday morning dismissed the petition and ordered that it be dismissed. Following this, the police are intensifying their efforts to arrest former minister Rajendra Balaji.
