Tiruppur: Four people from Bihar have been arrested in Maharashtra for robbing a pawn shop in Tiruppur of gold, silver and Rs 25 lakh. 3 kg of gold, 28 kg of silver and Rs 14.5 lakh were seized from them. Jayakumar (49) is from Tiruppur. He runs a jewelry pawn shop in front of his house. When I went to open the shop on the morning of the 4th, the lock was broken and the gold jewelery, silver jewelery and cash in the racks inside were looted. He lodged a complaint at the Tirupur North police station. He said 3 kg of gold jewelery, 9 kg of silver jewelery and Rs 25 lakh in cash were looted.

Tirupur Municipal Police Commissioner AG Babu and police went and investigated. Surveillance camera footage of the area recorded the image of a gang of four. Based on that they started an investigation. Due to the proximity of the Tirupur railway station, the robbers may have escaped on the train. 4 personnel were set up to catch the mob. In this, one individual rushed to Chennai and another individual to Maharashtra.

In this situation, it was revealed that the robber gang went on a train from Chennai to Tripura the night before yesterday. According to reports, the railway police nabbed the four persons at the Balarshah railway station in Ballarpur, Maharashtra. The investigation revealed that they were identified as Matab Alam (37), Badrul (20), Mohammad Suban (30) and Tilakas (20) from Bihar and robbed a pawn shop in Tirupur. Following this, the police seized 3 kg 306 grams of gold and 28 kg of silver and Rs 14 lakh 50 thousand in cash. The Maharashtra Police handed over the four arrested persons to the Tirupur Private Police.
