Ukraine accuses Russia of massacring more than 400 civilians near Kiev. Ukraine has demanded that the world impose tougher sanctions on Russia in the wake of the discovery of 410 bodies in the town of Bucha. Ukrainian President Selensky’s response was that Russia had committed genocide.

The Associated Press reports that the bodies of nine victims were found with their hands tied behind their backs. U.S. and EU officials protested the incident. Human Rights Watch has accused Russia of committing war crimes in Ukraine.
Ukraine says it has regained complete control of Kyiv. Russia has reportedly withdrawn from nearby areas of Kiev, including Bucha.
