The budgetary allocations and planned programs of the RA Ministry of High-tech Industry were discussed at the November 2 joint session of the RA NA Standing Committees on Economic and Financial Credit and Budgetary Issues.

5.2 billion drams out of 21.3 billion drams to be allocated to the ministry will be directed to scientific and scientific-technical research in the field of defense.

RA Minister of High-tech Industry Vahagn Khachaturyan informed that a program of industry, ecosystem, market development and digitalization will be implemented within the framework of 12.6 billion drams in the field of high-tech industry and digitalization.

It is planned to carry out 6 digitization measures within the framework of 1.7 billion drams with the joint funding of the EU. Digitization standards are being developed, for which AMD 105 million will be allocated. According to the minister, the digitization of state administration is planned to be implemented with an institutional approach, the Ministry of High-tech Industry will be a specialized structure for digitization.

About 9.7 billion drams will be allocated as part of the Trade and Infrastructure Development Program supported by the World Bank. It is planned to provide 2.5 billion drams for the improvement of communication services and infrastructures in the field of telecommunications.
