As a result of the cooperation of Akba Bank, AGBA Leasing, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) GEFF program, 5 million USD will be directed to the development of the “green” economy in Armenia through the financing of energy efficiency, climate adaptation and renewable energy business projects. Funds involved will be provided both in AMD and US dollars.

Thanks to the program, entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to make their businesses even more efficient through solar photovoltaic plants, energy-efficient transportation and construction equipment, engines and pumps, manufacturing technologies and more than 1,500 other high-efficiency technologies.

“Green” investments in Armenia have great development potential. Thanks to this cooperation, we will have the opportunity to support the development of the mentioned sectors with wider means”, said Aghasi Gasparyan, General Director of AGBA Leasing.

“GEFF prioritizes funding their high-performance differentiated technologies and projects. And since such investments are very targeted and require a complex approach, we spare no effort with our partner financial institutions to prepare and inform clients. Such an example was the recently implemented joint event with Akba Bank and AGBA Leasing, which was organized specifically for businesses in the construction sector,” says Andro Butkhuzi, Deputy Program Manager of GEFF in Armenia.

The leasing terms offered within the framework of the cooperation are presented here.

GEFF’s Green Technology Catalog is available here.

Since 2019, AGBA Leasing has joined the first phase of the GEFF program and financed the production of 3.6 GWh/year of clean energy, contributing to the prevention of 1864 tons of greenhouse gas emissions per year.
