Noida – Five teenagers have been taken into custody for allegedly abducting and killing a school student in Bulandshahr district of Uttar Pradesh. A seven-year-old boy from the same school was kidnapped and killed for ransom by 15- and 16-year-old students of class 10. The Bulandshahr police informed that the children said that they committed the crime by taking inspiration from the crime show on TV.
On July 9, the boy was abducted from school to Aligarh and killed there by suffocating him with a towel. Then it was thrown into the river. The body was recovered from the river. The police had registered an FIR on the complaint of the father, a native of Sheikhupur, that the child was missing. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shlok Kumar said that a case has been registered against the accused under sections 302 and 201 of the IPC.
One of the accused had lost Rs 40,000 while making a financial transaction. Told this to friends. To cover this financial loss, the five decided to kidnap a child from school for ransom. There was no earlier plan to kidnap the murdered child. The child was abducted because he had reached school early and there were not many people at that time.
The child who was playing outside the class was taken to the boundary of the school. There were two other children there who studied in another school. Two of them took the child from there to Aligarh on a bike. A person reached there by bus. One of the five went there because his house was in Aligarh. Then panicked thinking what to do if the plan didn’t work out.
Then he decided to kill and threw the body in the river. After throwing the handkerchief used in the killing in the bushes of the area, he returned to Bulandshahr. The next day, the body of the child was found in a river in Aligarh and identified as the missing boy from Bulandshahr.
The police said that after examining more than 100 CCTV footages and interrogating more than 200 people, they reached the accused. At first, they concocted various stories to mislead the police, but finally all the five confessed to the crime. The accused were produced before the Juvenile Justice Board.
