/ The Israeli newspaper Maariv announced on Friday that more than 50 missiles were launched from southern Lebanon towards northern Israel, while an official said that America is strengthening its efforts by transferring military assets to the Middle East.
The newspaper reported that “more than 50 missiles were launched from southern Lebanon towards northern Israel.”
For his part, an American official told CNN, “The Pentagon is transferring additional military assets to the Middle East region to enhance regional deterrence efforts and increase the protection of American forces.”
This comes at a time when Israel and the United States are preparing for the possibility of Iran launching an attack on Israeli facilities, in response to the targeting of its embassy in Damascus by an Israeli raid.
