Rescue efforts are underway in central China’s Hunan province after a residential building collapsed.
A 6-storey residential building in Changsha collapsed suddenly on the afternoon of the 29th. Authorities said 39 people were trapped in the crash and 16 were trapped in the rubble.
In a series of rescue operations, more than 700 firefighters, police and emergency personnel worked day and night on each floor of the apartment.
Firefighters are using small-scale equipment to deliver supplies, including water, to those trapped in the rubble.
