CaixaBank has exceeded 6 million payrolls domiciled in Spain, a milestone that the entity had set out to achieve this year with the launch of a commercial initiative at the beginning of 2023 and which “is to strengthen its leadership position in the payroll segment in Spain”, as they explain from CaixaBank, with a share of over 37%. Not more in the Girona counties, the organization has more than 176,000 payrollwhich translates into 63.4% of the market.

Payroll collection has also allowed CaixaBank to increase the number of linked customers, a key objective for the bank’s strategy, they explain in a statement. Like this, the entity has managed to increase its percentage of linked private customers to 71.4% as of July 2023, data that represents a growth of more than 7 percentage points since December 2020 (64.3%).

A campaign with incentives

The campaign developed by CaixaBank had as its main incentive a state-of-the-art Smart TV. Customers who have deposited their payroll at the institution since January and have also met the linking requirements (deposit at least three receipts and make a minimum of three purchases with a card per quarter) have received a television or remuneration on account of the 5% APR for the first 5,000 euros of balance for two years.
