“Who doesn’t want to stand on their own feet, earn their own money! Well, I tried a lot in my life. But I couldn’t. Even now, if I had not had my daughter-in-law, this would not have been possible.” – Aaba

The stage of age when a person just thinks about taking rest. At that age, 70 year old Aaba i.e. Chandraprabha Parihar is running her own business. Aaba, a resident of Mumbai, started her own brand about one and a half years ago by making bags, hats, home decor and rakhis from crochet and named it – Naihar!

Aaba continued to fulfill the responsibilities of the family for 70 years. Since childhood, she was fond of embroidery and weaving, but she never thought that it could become a business or become her identity. He also did a diploma in it about 20 years ago. But could never start her work. Perhaps she would not have been able to do it even today if her daughter-in-law Swati had not supported her.

At one time, she happily shouldered the responsibilities of the entire household and her grandson to allow her daughter-in-law Swati to advance in her career. But a time came when Swati decided to make Aaba’s talent recognized. When Swati saw the sparkle in Aaba’s eyes while crocheting, she did not let this opportunity go.

At first this mother-in-law and daughter-in-law duo took it only as a hobby. Swati would find new designs on YouTube and give them to Aaba and Aaba would be happy by making them and distributing them among her relatives. But it took the shape of a business when Aaba’s niece took a bag made by him to her office.

An office colleague requested him to make a bag for her too. Gradually, word spread among friends and relatives that Aaba got a big order from Australia also.

After this order, the confidence of both of them increased further and Swati did complete research and first registered her company and then launched her website and Instagram page.

Today Aaba works on her orders every day and has become a successful businesswoman. To encourage Aaba, you can also buy her handmade items from her website www.nayher.com.
