Police are investigating the robbery of 72 pieces of gold jewelery at the house of a popular hotelier in Nagercoil, Kanyakumari district.
Anandan, who hails from Kesari Street, Water Tank Road, Nagercoil, Kanyakumari district, runs a hotel in Nagercoil. Shocked, he lodged a complaint with the Nesamani Nagar police.

Following the complaint, the police conducted a search. Investigations are underway into whether the jewelery may have been taken by people working at the house when the doors and bureau of the house were not broken. Police have registered a case and are investigating the woman who works as a cook at home and the driver of the car.
