2020 on December 30, shortly before the end of the working day, 9 members of FFA: Ararat FC JV CJSC, Ararat-Armenia FC JSC, DFA CJSC, Dovegh FC NGO, Erebuni SA NGO, Erebuni-Dilijan MA NGO, Solidarity of Armenian Football Veterans and Youth Footballers NGO, Sevan FC LLC, Vanadzor Football Academy NGO, in accordance with the second clause of Article 33 of the FFA Charter, appealed to the Executive Committee of the Football Federation of Armenia, demanding that in 2021 to organize an extraordinary meeting on January 20 with the following agenda.
1. Declaration that the extraordinary meeting was called and convened in accordance with the FFA charter, recognition of the powers of the delegates of the extraordinary meeting
2. Election of delegates to approve the minutes of the meeting
3. Election of the counting committee
4. Suspension of membership of Ani FC, Aragats FC, Lokomotiv FC, Torpedo LLC, DFA CJSC and West Armenia FC
5. Shirak FC NGO membership
“According to the second clause of Article 33 of the FFA Charter, in such a case, the FFA extraordinary meeting must be held within 2 months of receiving the application, and the decision on the place and date of the extraordinary meeting must be made by the FFA Executive Committee. In the event that the FFA Executive Committee does not convene an extraordinary meeting, the delegates representing the members who signed the application shall convene an extraordinary meeting on their own initiative.
Today, the FFA became aware that the above-mentioned 9 members, without waiting for the meeting of the FFA executive committee and the possible decision to be made during it, initiated the organization of an extraordinary meeting of the FFA in 2021. on February 1 and sent relevant notices to the rest of the FFA members.
We announce that the 9 members who took the initiative of convening an extraordinary meeting within the framework of this process are obliged to follow the requirements set by the FFA charter and observe the two-month period. Considering the fact that the procedure established by the Charter was grossly violated, the said extraordinary meeting cannot be convened, and in case it is convened, it will be illegal in nature, and all the decisions made during the meeting will not have legal force.
In this regard, we call on all members of the FFA not to participate in the initiative to call an extraordinary meeting and to follow the requirements and procedures defined by the FFA charter. Otherwise, the FFA will have to apply disciplinary sanctions against all members participating in that meeting, up to and including suspension of membership and removal from membership,” the FFA statement said.
