The Housing Development Corporation today (November 17) sold 4,501 on-demand (PDO) homes.
The corporation has announced that 960 houses will be built in the Rochester area under the new Primary Regional Housing Program.
Buyers of homes under this primary regional housing scheme are required to repay 6% of the sale price or the value of the house, whichever is greater, to the corporation when they sell them.
All of these houses will be built on six residential plots. It is reported that these houses will take about four and a half years to complete.
In addition, 1,798 homes that were already for sale but not for sale were put up for sale.
