Druckman, born in 1932, serves as head of the Or Etzion yeshiva, as rabbi of the center Shapira settlement and as president of the Hesder yeshiva union. He is the chairman of the Bnei Akiva Yeshiva Center and Workshops and a member of the movement’s national board. Druckman previously served as a member of the Knesset and as deputy minister of religion. In 2012, Druckman won the Israel Prize for Lifetime Achievement.
