Kottayam ∙ MG University Section Assistant CJLC dismissed from service. Following the decision of the Syndicate, the order of dismissal was issued by the Pro Vice Chancellor.
Vigilance had arrested LC after accepting a bribe from a student in connection with distribution of mark list. LC was later suspended. A syndicate committee was appointed to conduct the inquiry. The LC was dismissed based on the committee’s report.
The report states that there has been serious lapse, abuse of power, serious irregularities and misconduct on the part of the LC. Marks of 2 students’ 3rd semester MBA exam have been corrected. The irregularity was done to make the students successful. The report also says that it has been proved that bribery was taken.
The syndicate then issued a show cause notice to the LC. As the reply given by the LC was not satisfactory, the Syndicate directed the Pro Vice Chancellor to dismiss him from service. The registrar Dr. B. Prakash Kumar issued an order announcing the dismissal.
