Department of Child Safety to protect children of Indian couple who died in lake – US Accident

Washington ∙ In the winter in the US, the child welfare department of the state of Arizona has taken charge of two minor girls of an Indian couple who died in a frozen lake. The department took care of two children aged twelve and seven.

Narayana Muddana (49), his wife Haritha (47) and family friend Gokul Medisetti (47), who lived in Chandler and were from Andhra Pradesh, died after falling through the ice at Woods Canyon Lake in Arizona. The accident happened when they were near the lake to take pictures on Christmas Eve.

A group of six adults and five children came here to see the sights in the snow. Narayana Muddana, Haritha and Gokul Medisetty who were in the group were walking in the frozen lake and taking pictures when the ice broke and fell into the lake. Haritha was immediately pulled out of the water but could not be saved.

It is reported that the temperature in the lake was minus 30 degrees. It is also reported that more than four crore rupees have already been distributed in the fund collection conducted to help the families affected by the accident.
