New Delhi: The naked body of a young woman shocked the national capital on New Year’s Eve. It is reported that the car that hit the woman dragged them for kilometers and she died of serious injuries. The incident happened on Sunday morning.
A woman who was traveling on a scooter was hit by a speeding car in Delhi’s Sultanpuri. Then the car moved ahead dragging the young woman. The naked body was found in Kanchanwala with all the clothes torn. News agency ANI reported that the 5 people in the car were later arrested.
Expressing shock at the incident, Delhi Commission for Women Chairperson Swati Maliwal demanded that the truth come out. Swati sent a notice to the Delhi Police. It is indicated that the car did not stop even after realizing that it had hit the scooter. The girl’s clothes got caught in the car after the impact. As the vehicle moved forward, the woman was dragged along the road.
A person who saw the woman being dragged called the police along with the car number. The police came to investigate and found the body of the woman lying in the middle of the road. He was immediately taken to the hospital. During interrogation, the accused initially told the police that they did not know about the accident. He later testified that there was an accident but the woman was not dragged.
The police believe that the accused tried to pass after hitting the young woman. The police are also investigating whether there was any deal between the woman and the accused. DCP Harendra K. Singh said that the body of the woman was found without clothes, but it was concluded that there was no torture.
