Mercè Sampietro, Joan Carreras and Mar Ulldemolins star in a new edition of the cycle Great masters of the theater of CaixaForum Girona. This proposal of chamber drama brings you closer in an intimate format and starring some of the country’s best performers in great theatrical texts. On this occasion, for example, they will see each other barren i the seagull in versions adapted and directed by director and playwright Francesc Cerro-Ferran.
The person in charge of opening the cycle next Monday the 16th (6:30 p.m.) will be Mercè Sampietro, what to reciteto a monologue version of barren, an adaptation of Federico García Lorca’s text about a married woman’s obsession with being a mother. Sampietro will be accompanied by the singer Sara Sambola and guitarist Aleix Bové.

In Cerro-Ferran’s version, she is a 21st century woman who talks openly about her problems and gives a critical view of life, the world of acting and theater in general.
Promoted by the La Caixa Foundation in collaboration with the Fortuny Theater in Reus, Great masters of the theaterre proposes a theatrical recital format with a chamber drama created expressly for the occasion. The proposal will be complemented by a minimalist staging, with a lectern, lighting, a musical selection and projections by audiovisual creator Ivó Vinuesa.
