Bharti Airtel, one of the leading telecom services companies in the country, has released its December quarter financial results. Bharti Airtel has reported a net profit of Rs 1,588 crore for the December 2022 quarter. This is 92 percent higher than the December 2021 quarter.
Bharti Airtel has generated an operating income of Rs 35,804 crore in the December 2022 quarter. This is 20 percent higher than the December 2021 quarter. Bharti Airtel’s total expenditure increased to Rs 17,351 crore in the December 2022 quarter. It was Rs 15,164 crore in the December 2021 quarter. Bharti Airtel’s average revenue per user for the December 2022 quarter increased by Rs 3 to Rs 193 over the previous September quarter.
Bharti Airtel has announced that 5G service will be rolled out in all cities and major rural areas by March 2024. Bharti Airtel shares fell 0.51 percent to Rs 785.35 on the BSE yesterday.
