The news of a famous actor who tried to commit suicide by shooting himself has become a sensation.
Actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan, who attended a show hosted by Nandamuri Balakrishna Balakrishna, revealed that he had severe depression and how difficult it was for him to overcome it.
He also said that when he was 17 years old, he thought of taking his own life. In this regard, he said:- My struggles with depression were high, but I fought through it.
At the age of 17, my depression worsened due to the pressure of exams. I had planned to take my life using the licensed revolver of my elder brother (Chiranjeevi) when he was not at home.
My elder brother Nagababu and brother-in-law Surekha saved him. My brother (Chiranjeevi) told me, ‘Just live for me, it doesn’t matter if you do nothing.
But please live.’ Since then, I have taught myself, found solace in reading books, Carnatic music, martial arts and other pursuits, he said.
