Ankara: The people of Turkey are dissatisfied that the Erdogan government did not perform well in the earthquake relief operations.

On the 6th of the last two consecutive earthquakes in Turkey were recorded as 7.8 and 7.5 on the Richter scale. More than 21,000 people have been killed in the earthquake on the Turkey-Syria border. Millions of people have lost their homes.

In this situation, people are dissatisfied with Erdogan, who has been in power in Turkey for 20 years.
The natural disaster is expected to be a major blow to Erdogan’s political campaign as Turkey holds general elections in May. In this context, Erdoğan has declared a state of emergency for 10 provinces that were severely affected by the earthquake.

Meanwhile, Turkish people are unhappy with the Erdogan government’s handling of earthquake relief efforts. Thanriverty was one of the worst affected areas by the earthquake.

Speaking about the rescue operations, a resident of Dhanriverdi said, “No one helped us. No one came here until the afternoon of the second day after the earthquake. No one from government, police or army came. They left us alone. So far the Prime Minister has not visited our area.” He said.

Another says, “If I had a little drill I would have saved my cousin. But no. “He is dead. Those who don’t die from the earthquake will definitely die from the extreme cold here,” he said.
