The Rescue Union delegation that went to Turkey following the strong earthquake will return to Israel as soon as possible due to a “significant security threat” to the members of the delegation.

Yesterday it was reported that the IDF medical aid mission began operating yesterday at a local hospital in the city of Kahramanmarsh. Among the patients, over 10 Syrian victims who were in Turkey and were injured as a result of the earthquakes. Lt. Col. Aziz Ebrahim, an intensive care unit and paramedic in the medical delegation, yesterday treated a 4-year-old Syrian boy from the city of Homs, who was in Turkey with his family at the time of the earthquake.

The boy arrived at the hospital in moderate condition with injuries in the pelvic area, after being rescued from the rubble four days after the earthquake. The boy lost his parents and is the only survivor of his family. During the weekend, the rescue forces rescued two people, while the medical delegation provided medical treatment to about 180 people.
