Every day, Russian forces launch 5 to 6 attacks on Ukrainian positions along the border 40 kilometers from the city of Kharkiv in the northeast of the country. The Ukrainian territorial defense forces are on alert 24 hours a day, constantly monitoring Russian activity.
At the command post of the Ukrainian forces, a few kilometers from the border with Russia, on the outskirts of Kharkiv, all movements on the Russian side near the border are monitored, trying to prevent any type of attack that may arise and, in turn, preventively, it can also help defend this region that is very exposed to this type of attack and which, incidentally, was subject to an offensive at the beginning of the large-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russia.
The place where this command post is located was occupied by the Russians at the time.
Today, after the liberation of these zones of Russian occupation, it is possible to perceive, in a more advanced point of the defense, the movements of the Russians across the border, with the possible technology and also providing support to some civilians.
According to the Ukrainian forces, there are around 250 elderly civilians in this area who have not left these locations and whose support is also provided by volunteers escorted by the Ukrainian forces.
