Vijayakumar (38) and his wife Punniyavathi (32) hail from Uppukkara Road, near Chetty Road, Coimbatore. The couple, who already have three children, are pregnant for the fourth time and have given birth to a baby boy at home due to labor pains. The baby and mother fainted shortly after the baby was born.

When the two were taken to the hospital, doctors said the baby had died because they had not seen the delivery properly. The supermarket police have registered a case and are conducting an investigation.
