The United States welcomed the recent meeting between the representatives of Stepanakert and Baku.
“We welcome the cooperation between the government of Azerbaijan and the representatives of the population of Nagorno-Karabakh,” said the spokesperson of the US State Department in response to the inquiry of the “Turan” agency.
The US hopes that the parties will be able to maintain effective communication channels in the future.
“Ensuring the rights and security of the population of Nagorno-Karabakh is important for achieving stable peace in the South Caucasus,” the spokesperson of the State Department noted.
