Dr. Mortada Al-Ghali

Mr. Volker Turk, the High Commissioner, was more interested in what was going on in Sudan than the Minister of Justice of the coup, and (he was more merciful and sympathetic)..!

The speech of the Sudanese Minister of Justice in Geneva before the Human Rights Council approached the international scandal, or perhaps exceeded it.. and (applied) human rights in Sweida itself..!! The delegates of the countries of the world know what is going on in Sudan..! Perhaps most of them froze in their seats in astonishment.. Some of them whispered out of irony that they envy Sudan for this high level of the rule of law and respect for human rights with standards that surpass all civil, political and social rights protocols (both obligatory and optional)..! Perhaps they were amazed at this minister, who was talking about the conditions of Sudan, as if he was looking at a (stolen paper) from the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Finland..!!

Had this speech been delivered by the Minister of Justice coming from Sweden, a country on Al-Berji’s list for justice and the maintenance of human rights (not playing), he would not have spoken in the dialect of our Sudanese minister. Our Sudanese Minister about the horrors happening in Sudan… The last of which occurred while the Sudanese Minister was on his way (he and his auspicious delegation) to their plane from Khartoum when his government was killing with a machine gun a young boy who came out of his parents’ house with bare hands, so the coup gun spotted him with an explicit assassination that does not happen even in the worst terrifying action movies ..!!

Mr. Volker Turk, the High Commissioner, was more interested in what was going on in Sudan than the Minister of Justice of the coup, and (he was more merciful and sympathetic)..! Khawaja Volker, despite some drawbacks to his speech, for in fairness he talked about the “dilemma” (he called it that) that he said had hindered the country since the October 2021 coup. He said that when he visited Sudan, he received pledges to stop the excessive use of force against peaceful demonstrators, and we are still witnessing cases of killing And injuries.. Al-Khawaja said that a 17-year-old demonstrator was killed on Tuesday, February 28, by a police officer’s gunfire in the East Nile region of Khartoum (the Sudanese Minister of Justice did not mention this, neither near nor far)..!

And Volker went on to say: This boy is the number 125 person who has been assassinated since the start of the protests more than 16 months ago, and out of every five of the dead, there is a child under the age of 18 killed by live ammunition, rubber bullets, gas bombs and other weapons arbitrarily fired by the security forces. (The Sudanese Minister of Justice did not mention any of that in his speech)..!

Revolutionary Minister of Justice

“Impunity remains a serious problem,” Volcker said. “Emergency legislation and the powers of state governors under it raise concerns that people are being held for long periods without trial.. or without due process.. Many refugees and displaced people are far from their homes and lands.. I am worried about Undoing the important gains made by women and the protection of human rights that were achieved during the civil government.. and from the restrictions imposed on civic space.. the population is exposed to enormous pressures as a result of taxes and fees, including school fees.. (the Sudanese minister did not mention any of this). .!

Khawaja Volker said at the end of his speech that he urges the authorities to give explicit instructions to the security forces to respect human rights and the right of every individual to peaceful assembly and protest.. All those responsible for violations must be held accountable.. Then he said: Memories of 30 years of Sudan’s dictatorship are still fresh in the minds His people.. and he is determined not to return to the past.. (Nothing of that was mentioned in the speech of the Minister of Justice of the coup)..!!
Do you know, my friend, what the Sudanese justice minister said in his speech..?! This needs another space, if the Almighty permits… God does not win you…!
