Abu Dhabi: The UAE issued fifty-eight lakh residence visas in the country last year. This was explained by the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP). Last year, 34,14,231 new visas were issued. 23.9 lakh visas were renewed. Only 20 lakh new visas were issued in 2021.
Last year, the UAE recorded a huge increase in the issuance of new visas and visa renewals. The ICP believes that the reason for the huge increase in the visa fee is due to the strengthening of digitization. You can apply for visa through ICP website, smart app, visa, entry permit and residence visa. With this, it is pointed out that the opportunity to apply for a visa from anywhere in the world has also led to the issuance of more visas.
One can apply for residence visa in five steps through www.icp gov ae website and smart app (UAEICP). After verifying the information and documents in the application, the visa will be received by e-mail. Sponsor’s passport must be valid for six months. The criteria like medical test and insurance documents must be strictly followed. You can apply by logging into the website or app, register through UAE Pass, create an account.
