Cigarette sales will be banned in New Zealand from 2027.
In New Zealand, with a population of 50 million, the health ministry has issued a new statement amid allegations that children are addicted to high levels of smoking.
Accordingly, the sale of cigarettes will be permanently banned for all who reach the age of 14 by 2027. This will enable us to create a healthy next generation, said Ayesha Veral, the country’s co-minister of health.
