Tamil News | Board for Labor Awareness: Transport Sector Brainwashed?

by time news
Salem: Workers have criticized the awareness board put up by the transport authorities as ‘brainwashing’ about the loss of absentee workers.

In the Tamil Nadu Government Transport Corporations, 1.47 lakh people have been allocated for the operation and maintenance of 22,125 buses. But, only 82 thousand, 200 people are working. Moreover, many people are not able to run the buses properly due to continuous leave, leave without permission, and not coming to work for long days. Due to the disciplinary action taken by the authorities, the workers suffer loss of salary. The authorities are creating awareness about the damage caused by this.

An awareness banner placed in the Pallipalayam workshop, Erode Zone states: Total loss due to an employee being ‘absent’ for one day:

If the basic salary is 20 thousand, 700 rupees, the daily salary is 833 rupees. A delay of three months will result in a loss of Rs 1,000 per month. 120 rupees per month at subsidized rate; 1,120 rupees in wages and allowances, and 7,753 rupees per year in gratuity. Service, if 20 years, loss, 67 thousand, 200 rupees.

That is, if it is 15 years, 50 thousand, 400 rupees; 33 thousand, 600 rupees for 10 years. So the workers have to work continuously and cooperate to avoid loss. This is stated in it.

In this regard, the trade unionists said that the authorities have adopted the strategy of brainwashing and continuing to work without taking action to correct the labor shortage.

Salary loss can be dealt with. If an accident occurs after working without rest, it will be disastrous. So, the workers should not fall into the conspiracies of the authorities. They said this.
