The US government has said that former President Trump and intelligence failures are the main reasons behind Afghanistan’s return to the hands of the Taliban.
The Joe Biden administration said former President Trump’s pre-announcement of the withdrawal date and unplanned withdrawal of the US military, and the failure of intelligence to accurately predict the Taliban’s strength, helped the Taliban take over Afghanistan.
It is also alleged that the multi-million dollar trained Afghan army retreated without a fight.
