“Easter is approaching, the day of rebirth, and perhaps it is no coincidence that it coincides with my birthday. I’ve had a very tough year but I want to rejoice with you in the good news that according to the latest exams today I’m doing great!”. With a smiling photo posted on Instagram, Giovanni Allevi thus informs his fans of the positive news concerning his state of health, which he has been worrying for months. “Words are not enough to thank the medical and nursing staff of the Milan Cancer Institute who are accompanying me on this tortuous journey”, writes the composer who revealed last June that he has myeloma.
“I would like to be able to embrace all the ‘warrior’ patients who are struggling like me and who have always encouraged me with their example, and support those who are now starting the therapeutic journey: research is making giant strides! Thanks to all of you and my family for their great support”, continues Allevi. Who concludes with a wish full of hope: “I am confident that we will see each other soon, with lots of new music and a different vision of the world!!! A kiss from Giovanni, weakened and “disordered” but very happy. Happy Easter to all!”.
