Augustan Masters
Spanish golfer Jon Rahm, brilliant winner of the Augusta Masters, knew ten years ago that he would win the mythical green jacket
Jon Rahm’s historic victory this Sunday at the Augusta Masters has made him the fourth Spaniard to wear the green jacket after the legendary Severiano Ballesteros, José María Olazábal and ‘El Niño’ Sergio García. The Basque golfer thus conquers his second ‘major’after winning the US Open last year, and he does so on a very special day, April 9, the date Ballesteros came into the world.
Today, the entire world of golf surrenders to the talent and good game of the Basque golfer, who also recovers the number 1. But there was a time when his name was not known. In 2013while still an amateur golfer, Rahm had a revelation: I was going to win the Augusta Masters. And so he published it on Twitter.
A providential fortune cookie
During a meal at a Chinese food chain Panda Express, good Jon wanted to try his luck with a fortune cookie, which gave him the following message: “Your talents will be recognized and duly recognized.” reading this positive wishRahm was clear and expressed it through his Twitter profile in a message in which he mentioned his friend Tim Mickelsonbrother and caddy of one of the best golf players in history, Phil Mickelson: “I’m going to win the Masters!”.
Well said and done. A decade later, Rahm has seen his prediction come true, taking another step in his brilliant career and expanding a career that seems to have no limits.
