Russians cannot take Bakhmut under full control – Ministry of Defense – news on UNN

KYIV. April 13. UNN. The Russian occupiers cannot take Bakhmut under complete control. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Hanna Malyar during a briefing, reports UNN with reference to the Military Media Center.

“The enemy has concentrated its main efforts there, and we are forced to make the same great efforts to defend these lines,” said Malyar.

She reported that fierce fighting continues today in Maryinka, Avdiivka and in the Lymansky direction.

“Despite the difficult situation, Ukrainian soldiers fight desperately and prevent the enemy from advancing and achieving the goals of the war of aggression. “Despite the fact that the enemy has concentrated its most professional units in Bakhmut – these are Wagner units, airborne assault units, and special forces – the Russians cannot achieve their goal there, i.e. take full control of Bakhmut,” said Malyar.

She added that today the Russians are suffering huge losses there and despite these losses they are not stopping and still want to achieve this goal – to take control of this city.

The General Staff reported that the enemy continues to conduct offensive actions, is trying to take full control of the city of Bakhmut.

In two weeks, the enemy lost almost 4,500 “Wagnerians” and soldiers of the Russian Federation killed and wounded in the Bakhmut area.
